During dinner, I recommend calling in for reservations because this little place is always busy from dining in to pick up. Rightly so. The sashimi fish is so fresh, donburri is a lot and tasty. The manager was on the ball with the best service I’ve had at a sushi place

Been going here from day one when it opened. Must say the consistency has never dropped off and the BEST sashimi in town. I do know the owner and he takes his selection of sashimi to the next level. If you are willing to spend a little bit more he will customize the dishes with a different spin on it. I call it the Iron Chef of Toronto. Many friends referred over have raved about how fresh the sashimi is and he sets the standards of excellence.

Great, cozy sushi restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and great customer service. The rolls are well made with an assortment of flavours. The Toronto roll was very tasty. I also really recommend the spicy salmon bomb which is a mixture of salmon, rice, veggies that are added to seaweed to make your own hand roll. おいしいいかた!We will be back again to try other items on the menu!

This restaurant is probably one of my favourite places in Toronto for Japanese food. If you like a great selection of fresh fishes and a variety of dishes, you should try their omakase. Their normal menu is cater towards the general population and it's typical of any Japanese restaurant. However, what makes them special is that their highly skilled chef stocks a great variety of fresh and unique tasting fish. You need to look at their daily specials or ask the chef for their suggestion based on what is in stock. My personal favourite sushi/sashimi/item includes: aji, foie gras on akimo, sword fish, uni, blue fin o-toro, geo-duck, mochi tofu and cucumber roll. I always come back when I need a fix of quality sushi, dipped in freshly grounded wasabi and great quality soya sauce. Drooling already, as I picture eating my next meal there.

One of the better mid town sushi places in my opinion. We bought the 62 piece take out tray and it was enough to feed roughly 3-4 people. I would say their spicy salmon roll is one of the best rolls I have ever had.Highly recommend for both dine in and takeout.

Excellent place for great sushi. Their tasting menu is superb and if you want to try some imports from Japan not on the menu, ask the chef!

Always great sushi, with great staff. Lots of options, love getting the eggplant skewers! Keep coming back because of how good and fresh the food is. I never get let down

The atmosphere is pretty basic, not too much seating. I had the Bento Box and it was pretty good. The only downside side is that it was a little expensive ($14 for lunch special).

Intimate restaurant with friendly cooks and polite staff. The sushi was delicious and they even sent us out a little dessert to try - a spongy taro root cake. It attracts young couples and local families that seem to frequent the place often - meaning it is that good!

Highly recommend the fresh uni here and the Omakase sushi and sashimi where the chef gives you the fresh fish for the day. Quick service nice people can get busy on weekends so reservations recommended.

I had an overall positive experience here. I walked into this restaurant for my lunch break and ordered off of their lunch menu. I was craving sushi and ordered the basic maki lunch set. It consisted of 3 pieces each of salmon sushi, tuna sushi, a California-type sushi, and cucumber sushi. The ratio of filling to rice was just right. The sushi rice had adequate seasoning and the fish was very fresh.

Went went a last year and it was fantastic. Extremely friendly, homely atmosphere. Attentive service, nice ambience. Sushi was top quality and includes brown rice! Excellent restaurant, will be going back.

Great little place with reasonably priced, excellent food, friendly service. Probably one of the best choices if you need a fast brunch in the area.

Cozy place for lunch and dinner. The Teriyaki Chicken and Sashimi Bowl are well prepared and value for $. Not so for the Katsu Don (great if the meat can be less fat and lean)

Never really explored anything in midtown. Didn’t expect such goodies here. The restaurant doesn’t have many tables and is actually a bit crowded and noisy during dinner time. The waiter/manager with us was really nice and patient. He carefully introduced us with his recommendation dishes and even send some fresh fish soup on the house.

The food is consistently fresh and tasty, the service towards the guests is good. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend this place.

Good food

This is not a AYCE sushi joint. Good selection of sashimi and sushi with high quality fish. Price is higher than other places. Ordered a sashimi plate and was expecting at least one high quality sashimi fish piece. However was only served the regular sashimi pieces so nothing special. Also ordered a sushi bento box. Tasted okay. Service was courteous and prompt. Nice environment. Only three stars as food is only alright.

Good food great service.

You don't come here just for the food, you also come for the atmosphere. One of the most traditional and authentic places I've ever been to in Toronto. Yes it's more on the pricier side but you get the utmost best quality and service. I recommend not looking at the menu and having the chef pick the menu for you for the overall best experience.

My favorite sushi place on the strip, it is higher end sushi, everything is prepared beautifully and with great care. Service is always very friendly. Smaller venue so better to make a reservation, but walk ins are accepted.

10 course Omakase is amazing.

First time. Quality and taste on point. Not many sushi places know how to properly do tempura these days but these guys nailed it. We will be back.

Its always tough call between 4 and 5 stars since 5 stars should be best of the best. But the friendly service and the fresh salmon and tuna just hit it out of the park here. We ordered a sashimi platter, all the fish was fresh and flavorful while the rainbow dragon had perfect amount of rice to fish/veggies. Highly recommended.

This is our favourite local sushi place! Quality and service are always excellent. You receive food within minutes of ordering, even when the restaurant is at capacity. The staff always greet you with a smile, and are always helpful and professional. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else! :)

I was running errands on Bayview Avenue when I noticed the sign for this place. After a good chuckle, I decided to try it out. Sampled three maki rolls. I really enjoyed the one with the mango inside - delightful combination of fruit with seafood. Its a small place so you get served quite quickly. Enjoyed a late lunch on the patio. I would definitely repeat when I am in the area.Good portion sized and reasonably priced. Excellent choice for all you sushi lovers out there.

PRICEY, TIGHT LOCATION, AVERAGE FOOD. Myself and 3 of my friends decided to go here and try this place out. We ordered 2 package orders, that says it comes with soup and salad, only to find out, it comes only with 1 soup and 1 salad, for sushi and sashimi worth over $100
